Art Gallery At Westgate House

This month Westgate House opened an Art Gallery in one of their recently refurbished dayrooms. The Artwork has been completed with the help of staff member Roman Balaz who is a Doctor of Psychology and has experience with Art Therapy back in his native Slovakia. Roman also got the opening ceremony off to a great start by cutting a red ribbon for all to enter and admire the display. Artwork was displayed from two of our residents, Pamela Tyler and Katharine Walter. In the below photographs you will see them proudly holding their pieces of Art with family members and staff. The grand opening was a great success and  residents, relatives, visitors and staff got the chance to admire the beautiful paintings, later enjoying champagne and canapes to celebrate the occasion. The Art Gallery will be open to residents and visitors to enjoy at any time and artwork will be rotated every few months to showcase all of our artists great work. The artwork is on sale and open to offers, all proceeds will go into the residents fund which will be used to help fund trips and days out over the Summer months.
